Installing the Front Windshield Wiper Water Washer Pump Motor

Step 1: Gather the necessary materials and parts

Front Windshield Wiper Water Washer Pump Motor with grommet
Grommet (if not already installed on the pump)
Good quality windshield washer fluid concentrate
Water (to mix with the washer fluid)
Step 2: Locate the Washer Bottle
The Washer Bottle is the reservoir that holds the windshield washer fluid. It is usually located low down on the car, often near the front bumper.

Step 3: Gain access to the Washer Pump
In many cases, accessing the Washer Pump may require partially removing the inner wheel arch or bumper trim. This step may vary depending on the make and model of your Audi. Refer to your car's manual or seek online guides specific to your vehicle for the exact procedure.

Step 4: Remove the old Washer Pump (if applicable)
If there is an existing Washer Pump that needs replacement, carefully disconnect the electrical connector and any washer pipes connected to it.

Step 5: Install the new Washer Pump
Place the new Washer Pump into the washer bottle. Ensure it is securely push-fitted into place.

Step 6: Connect the washer pipes
Connect the washer pipes to the new Pump. They should be push-fitted onto the pump. If there are any clips, use them to secure the pipes. If the pipes are hard to remove, you can heat them up with a hairdryer to make removal easier.

Step 7: Fill the washer bottle
Pour windshield washer fluid concentrate into the washer bottle. Follow the instructions on the concentrate's packaging for the right dilution ratio. Generally, you mix the concentrate with water according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Step 8: Never let the Washer Pump run dry
Ensure the washer bottle is always filled with fluid. Running the Washer Pump dry can cause it to fail.

Step 9: Avoid using anti-freeze in the washer bottle
Never put anti-freeze into the washer bottle. It is designed specifically for the car's engine cooling system, not the windshield washer system.

Step 10: Fill Windscreen fluid first, then top up with water
When refilling the washer bottle, always pour the windshield fluid concentrate in first, following the recommended dilution ratio. After that, top up the rest of the bottle with water.

Step 11: Test the Washer Pump
Turn on your car's ignition and test the Washer Pump to ensure it's working correctly. Try using the windshield wipers to see if the fluid sprays properly onto th
